Stanislav Ivanov is currently Professor and Vice-Rector (Research) at Varna University of Management, Bulgaria, and Director of Zangador Research Institute. He holds a BA in International Tourism (Minor in Finance), an MSc in Tourism, and a Ph.D. degree in Tourism Economics from the University of Economics – Varna. Prof. Ivanov is the Founder and Editor-in-chief of two academic journals: European Journal of Tourism Research and ROBONOMICS: The Journal of the Automated Economy. Additionally, he serves on the Editorial boards of over 30 other journals. His research interests include robonomics, service robots, the economics of technology, revenue management, destination marketing, tourism and economic growth, political issues in tourism, etc. His publications have appeared in different academic journals – Technology in Society, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology, Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management, Tourism Management Perspectives, International Journal of Revenue Management, Tourism Economics, and other journals. His book co-edited with Craig Webster “Robots, Artificial Intelligence and Service Automation in Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality” was published by Emerald Publishing in 2019.
