Prof. Stanislav Ivanov, Director of the Zangador Research Institute, has been honoured with the Pythagoras Award of the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science, recognising his outstanding research achievements in the field of social sciences and humanities.

The award acknowledges Prof. Ivanov’s influential body of work on the economic and social implications of artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on tourism. His research has contributed significantly to understanding how emerging technologies reshape labour markets, business models, and societal dynamics.

Upon receiving the distinction, Prof. Ivanov expressed gratitude to the colleagues, co‑authors, editors, reviewers, and respondents who have supported and contributed to high‑quality scientific work in Bulgaria.
